As always, the tradition-rich Midwestern Athletic Conference had the best battle for the top spot in 2007, with Aliquippa, Beaver Falls and Beaver all tying for the conference title. Both Beaver Falls and the Quips would advance to the Semifinals round where Beaver Falls defeated county foe Riverside at Ambridge, while Aliquippa fell to eventual state champion Jeannette in one of the highest scoring playoff games in the history of the WPIAL.
