Carlow University Student Athlete Spotlight - Ronit Yurovsky

Although most of the MSA Sports Student Spotlights are Seniors, this freshman is one to really keep your eye on because she is going places! A freshman at Plum High School, Ronit Yurovsky is making her mark in the tennis circle. Ronit holds the #1 spot on the Plum Girls Tennis Team. She has been playing tennis since the age of 3 and her drive and passion for the sport pushes her to be the best.

Ronit is a member of the United States Tennis Associates (USTA) Juniors program in which she finished the 2008 year ranking #5 in the country for the age 14 and under division. Ronit has tournaments close to home and abroad that require her to do a large amount of traveling. She is able to juggle her travels to tournaments and her heavy school work load earning her a 4.0 GPA. Her biggest accomplishment in tennis this year was earning a bronze ball at the Easter Bowl in California, a major junior USTA tennis event. Ronit's hard work and determination pays off in both tennis and her academics.

Ronit is excited to see what high school will bring her way and is eager to play with new teams. Ronit is setting her sights to compete at this year's WPIAL Tennis Championships.

How to Get Your Student in the Spotlight

Balancing sports, schoolwork, and other activities is one of your child's greatest challenges. We at MSA Sports would like to spotlight some of these students who do just that - and do it WELL!

Parents, teachers, family members and friends, we need your help identifying students to feature in the Student Athlete Spotlight. Send a photograph of the student, along with some biographical information. Student bio should be brief (2 or 3 paragraphs) and include sport played and position, academic and other honors, GPA, extracurricular activities, and any other information that helps to showcase the achievements and character of this student athlete.

Once your child is selected we will send you a permission form to allow us to post the student's picture and profile. Please use this form to submit a student for consideration.
